Apple - Safari 3 Public Beta

A move I don’t fully understand - I’ve recently and reluctantly switched from Safari to Firefox on OS X due to the poor way it handled some javascript heavy sites, what it had going for it was tight OS integration. On Windows, hmmm.

This talk is a fantastic demo of a use of Photosynth & Seadragon, which could let socially-shared and tagged photos build near real-looking virtual environments. Microsoft (indeed!) has a couple of demos up running, including one in collaboration with the BBC for their How we built Britain series. Doesn’t work on OS X as yet, but it’s worth begging to borrow a mate’s PC.
